The Ruhr University in Bochum is opening its doors for refugees. Starting this winter semester, refugees can register as guest students at the university.

The Director of OASIS, Danuta Popanda, consults interested refugees about their existing qualifications and study experiences. Then she visits the faculties together with asylum seekers. After consultation with the faculty representatives, an individual timetable will be made and the registrar’s office will be informed that new guest students can be enrolled. The university does not charge any tuition fees for refugees.
